    SAME OLD

There's really not too much different going on. I've just been busy doing all those little 'oh-my-god-people-are-coming-to-stay-in-10-days-things' that need to be done before next month. This list is especially long this time because it involves my Mom coming to stay.

So that, and I've been sewing. A lot. Like, a LOT a lot. So much so, that when B asked if I wanted to go to the dollar movie with him, I seriously contemplated bringing a canvas with me.

I read an article in the paper last week about how this time of year Floridians just WILL fall to be here. I'm totally feeling that. It sure is different here, 95° yesterday. This time last year we were sitting outside at Driftaway, freezing our butts off down by the marsh. I need some new clothes to deal with this new reality. No more cable-knit sweaters for me. I 'spose I should get some closed-toe shoes, too. A tweed skirt and lightweight cardi might look sorta funny with flip-flops. I walked through last years pair of flats, need to replace those.

Speaking of clothes, I gotta give it up to my girl Gwen Stefani. New York Fashion Week for Spring 2006 was last week and the girl done brought it. I was amazed, it was very good. Even I wanted a lot of the stuff.

And that's all from my end, folks.
