    BECAUSE IT'S SPRINGTIME

Behold, the "Lemon Wonder" cupcakes. So named because well, they're lemon cake and I used the "White Wonder Frosting" from the 1952 Betty Crocker Picture cookbook.

And boy, are they tasty. I want to eat all 24 22 of them. Light, but sweet enough.

I love how the frosting looks like snowdrifts.

I suddenly realized today that it's spring. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but strangely, I feel renewed somehow. Like I made it through the winter/ depressing months and now I'ma be okay. I think part of it has to do with my birthday, which I'm actually looking forward to this year.

And it's REALLY warm outside, which helps. Now all we need is some rain.

The ones I left uncovered got a little crunchy on the outside, but the ones under the cake dome stayed soft and foamy. YUM.
