    SOME BAD, SOME GOOD

Spent yesterday shopping for things I need. Note I said things I NEED, not necessarily things I WANT. For this new job, I basically can't wear anything that has been my daily uniform up until this point. Sleeveless shirts, skirts, bracelets, open-toe shoes & heels = NO. Pants, shirts with sleeves, totally flat closed-toe shoes = YES.

It also equals boring, but whatever.

I'm not sure yet, but I hope that necklaces = YES, 'cause if I can't wear any jewelry at all, I might just ass-plode. But I saved the reciepts, so I can return them if I can't wear them.

I basically spent the whole day in either A: the mall or B: a giant discount store. And let me tell 'ya, a $15 off $75 coupon at Penney's brings out the macaws in DROVES. I actually had to wait in line for the dressing room. The entire store was simply a-flutter. A-flutter, I say!

And it seems as though the entire apparel and accessories industry somehow knew that I would be getting this job, and that they decided to sell nothing but formal shorts (don't get me started) and cute little shirts without sleeves. And TONS of adorable sundresses that I long to take home. And gorgeous big earrings and bracelets. Especially ones that make great jingly noises. And the shoes! Not a single cute flat under $50 was to be found. Dammit! But there were tons of great slides and little heeled flats. Not to mention all the great heeled sandals which beg to be taken out on the town. Sigh.

I had some good eats, though. I treated myself to a $2 hot dog/ lemonade combo at Target. YUM. Since I still haven't done the dishes from vacation, and thus want to avoid the kitchen at all costs, I treated myself to KFC for dinner. Purchased mostly as a nod to PMS, but still so tasty. My God, that crap is so freakin' good.

I fell asleep in a food coma about 9:30.

I think I'm set for Monday. Sunpass is installed in the new car, she's got a full tank of gas, new clothes are ready to be washed and ironed, and there's food in the fridge for bag lunch.

I've got about 75 lbs of paperwork to fill out for the new job, not to mention an entire product line to learn, hopefully quickly.

I also need clean the house, and try and get some sewing done. I'm working on a great little flamingo piece that's almost done, and I want to get another tank done before too long. And I really need to make a new CD or twelve. Damn. Anybody have a favorite road CD? I'm gonna need a few...
