Wow. If I had known how GREAT it was to look for a job, I would have done this years ago! It's a part of life that each of us must face. Head-on.
So far, I've listed my resume on Monster, CareerBuilder and Coroflot (with my portfolio). I get daily job emails from each. I have a finished portfolio (I re-did my resume). I even emailed a couple of places for information, but they ended up being way too far away to be reasonable. (A 5-hour commute wouldn't be too bad, right?) I've been researching firms throughout the Orlando are just to see what's out there. Is there a bad time to look for a job? I've always heard that Winter was best, but who knows why.

Sounds good to me.
I sent off my newly done resume' and cover letter with 4 samples today after a WONDERFUL visit to the nearby Kinko's.
Don't get me started.
Don't EVEN get me started.
(remember that SNL skit? anyone? anyooonnnee?)
hahah love that skit trav. yeah dont even get me started either. trying to find a job is the biggest bullshit ever. i need to put myself out there more like you have done. i might get results
You guys are totally going to find what you want! Keep the faith. My problem is that I keep finding holes in my 'education'. For example, I've never used Quark, and I have extremely limited skills with CAD. That pretty much nixes 50% of the available jobs right there. That and the lack of experience in just about everything. Argh.
Although there's a job for an ice cream cake decorator that keeps coming up in my CareerBuilder search that I'm seriously considering...
HAHAH! i know i HATE when a designer description calls for CAD.. .say what? or dumb shit like powerpoint. huh? hahah that was so not part of my curriculum!
Dude, I saw one that required CorelDraw...
